Placing an order in the internet site www.comptoircacao.fr implies the complete understanding and acceptance of the general conditions of sale by the customer.

Taxes

The prices are shown in Euros inclusive of taxes (VAT varies from 5,5% to 20% depending on the product chosen) and is applied to orders destined to France, and the European Union.
For deliveries outside the European Union the prices will not include VAT
There is no import duty payable within European Union member states. For other countries, all taxes and customs duties which may be required are at the customer’s expense, and are payable upon delivery.

Order Acknowledgement, Confirmation And Withdrawal Delay

The customer is requested to complete the order form accurately and to provide information for each heading (billing address, delivery address, method of payment, etc.). Should there be any error in the details provided by the recipient Comptoir du Cacao cannot be held responsible for failing to deliver to that recipient.
An order placed on the website will be validated only after it has been fully paid for and after the approval of Comptoir du Cacao, which reserves the right to refuse an order because of unavailability of products. If the customer has not provided all the information required or for a legal reason. C d C cannot be held responsible for any of these problems and will notify the customer as soon as possible should there be a problem to complete the order.

Consistent with French Law LOI N° 2014-344 of March 17, 2014, regarding consumption, the 7- day right of withdrawal does not apply to contracts for the supply of products likely to deteriorate quickly, such as chocolates.
For this reason, the customer may not make use of this right. Once the order has been delivered, no modifications or cancellations will be accepted and there will be no refunds.
However, cancellation by the customer may be accepted while the parcel is in preparation and it has not been delivered yet.

Payment by credit card
Our Internet site www.comptoircacao.fr is equipped with a payment security protocol (SSL SPPLUS of the Caisse d’Epargne) The payment is made directly to the bank server on the Comptoir du Cacao account and guarantees the total confidentiality of the personal information transmitted on the Internet.

The customer may also choose to pay by bank transfer, in which case there may be an extra delay of 3 or 4 days before the sum wired is credited.

The merchandise is delivered by La Poste (French Postal Service) or by a transport company of our choice

The amount for the shipping cost does not include customs duties at the country of destination. Payment of any duties and taxes is the responsibility of the recipient. These will be assessed and paid by the recipient upon delivery to the carrier/transport company.

Within the European Union
Merchandises travel freely: there are no customs formalities. However, certain territories and adjacent islands to countries belonging to the European Union do require customs formalities: Büsingen and the island of 'Helgoland (Germany), The Feroe Islands, Greenland ( Denmark). The Canary Islands, Ceuta, Melilla (Spain). Mont Athos (Greece). Campione d'Italia, Livignio, San Marino and the Vatican (Italy) Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man (Great Britain).

Outside the European Union
All destinations except those in the European Union are subject to customs procedures, including the DOM-TOM, overseas territories and Andorra
Your shipments are subject to customs duties upon arrival in the country of destination. The customs duties are calculated taking into account the price of purchase, insurance and transport (Incoterm CIF: cost, insurance, freight)
The tax may also vary depending on the origin of the merchandise.

DOM-TOM special conditions
There are no customs duties for the merchandise arriving from France. However, the products will be taxed upon arrival based on the local VAT (except for Guyana and Mayotte, where there is no VAT), the dock dues and additional duties that may vary depending on the nature, origin and worth of the merchandise.

Shipping & Delivery Shipping Times

Delivery times depend on the country of destination and the time of the year.

In France :
Delay: 1 to 3 days (La Poste or a transport company) depending on the region where the delivery will take place. You need to add between 2 to 4 working days to prepare the order.

In Europe :
Delay: 5 to 7 days (La Poste or a transport company) depending on the country and region where the delivery will take place. You need to add between 2 to 4 working days to prepare the order.

Comptoir du Cacao will not be responsible for delays or damages caused by the transport companies, by lack of information or mistakes in the delivery details provided by the customer or by all events beyond our control, such as for example, strikes, natural disasters, terrorist acts, etc.

Complaints On reception of the products, the customer must always check that the delivery is in conformity with his order. He must check both the exterior and interior of the package to be able to specify what the problem is (articles missing, damaged, different from articles ordered, etc.) Any damage must be reported to the driver, noted accurately, dated and signed on the delivery note.
All claims must be accompanied by an explanation of the problem and they must be made within a maximum time of 3 days after reception,

In Case of unfavorable weather conditions, Comptoir du Cacao may decide to put off the shipment until the conditions are better.
The customer will be consulted to decide if he wants to have the merchandise delivered anyway. Comptoir du Cacao cannot be made responsible in case of delivery of flawed merchandise in spite of having warned the customer.
